INTRODUCTION lamisil terbinafine (250mg) is an antifungal medication widely used to treat fungal infections of the scalp, skin, nails, and urinary tract. This medication works by preventing ergosterol from breaking down fucizone, a compound found in Lamisil. This prevents the growth of fungi and aids in the removal of fungal from the body. Lamisil terbinafine works by inhibiting the action of the enzyme squalene epoxidase, which converts ergosterol to unsaturated fatty acids (e.g. stearic acid) and exists as a1 in the body. Oestrogen is an essential hormone that helps maintain a healthy hair cycle and prevent hair fall. When terbinafine binds to oestrogen receptors on the cell membrane, it prevents the synthesis of essential female sex hormones, including sex hormones for men such as testosterone and estrogen.
